TCU Le Center PreK-8:  Needs & Solutions 
Need:
  • Main Entry does not provide for controlled, secure access
  • 1961 Building roof area is over 30 years old.   
  • Needs replacement after many repairs.
  • Leaks damage interior ceilings, walls and Gym floor
  • HVAC system is over 55 years old
  • Current HVAC system can not effectively control air quality, temperature & humidity

    (22,000 sq ft, similar to the size of 4.5 Basketball courts)

Auditorium / Fine Arts Center
Need:
  • TCU High School does not have an Auditorium / Fine Arts Center
  • Inadequate ​locker room space for home games & events
  • Current K-8 auditorium space not large enough for TCU High School concerts & large community events​
  • Physical Education & sports activities are displaced when Band/Choir concerts occur in Gym​
  • No ability to host MSHSL Music, Speech & Theater competitions

  • Build 700-seat Auditorium / Fine Arts Center at TCU High School (student enrollment projected to be over 670)
  • Provide appropriate, multi-use​ space for student performances & large group academic opportunities & additional locker room for home games & events
  • On site parking accessible to handicapped entry
  • Facilitate staff trainings and workshops, without displacing & interrupting​instruction
  • Host Minnesota State High School League, community & regional events (ex., Large & Small Group Solo & Ensemble Band & Choir, Speech, Theater & Art contests, FFA Regional meetings & events, area community & summer Theater groups, Dance Studio Recitals, business & community ceremonies & celebrations)
